This is one of the easiest ways to check your account balance. It’s a free service and requires no internet connectivity. SBI also provide mobile banking service and they have a toll free number for this. Here’s how to use it –
Give a missed call on +91 9223766666 phone number. You will receive an SMS having information about your account balance. Note that you have give a missed call from the same mobile number that is registered with your SBI bank account.

2. Check SBI balance enquiry via Yono app
YONO SBI is a digital banking app offered by State Bank of India. It provides customers with a range of banking services including mobile banking, payments, investments and loans.
YONO SBI app also offers customers access to check their account balance. You must have net banking enabled on your account to use the Yono SBI app. If you are already using it, here’s how to view your bank balance –
- Open the YONO SBI app on your smartphone.

SBI Internet banking allows you to access your account, view and manage transactions, transfer money, and pay bills online. It also provides you with access to a wide range of additional services, such as balance enquiry and last transactions. If you have enabled internet banking service on your SBI account, you can use it to check your bank balance by following these simple steps –
- Open any browser on your PC or smartphone such as Chrome.
- Visit the SBI Internet Banking website and go to the Login page. Check the URL in the address bar to make sure that you are on a authentic website.
- Click on Continue to Login. On the following webpage, enter your username and password. Verify the captcha and then tap on Login button.
- You will receive an OTP on your registered phone number. Enter that OTP on the SBI website to complete the login verification.
- Once you are logged in, go to menu > Account Summary and click on View All Balances.
- Now it will display the balance of your bank account. You can view/print it as Excel or PDF.
4. SBI balance enquiry via SMS banking
SMS banking is similar to missed call banking where you have to send an SMS to a designated phone number and your bank will provide your account balance information in a reply SMS. Here’s what you need to do –
Send an SMS “BAL” to +91 9223766666. Use the same mobile phone to send this SMS that is registered with your bank account. You will receive an SMS from SBI with your balance info.

5. Check SBI account balance via ATM
The ATM is not only for withdrawing money from your bank account but it can also help you to check your account balance. The transaction receipt you receive when you withdraw your money from the ATM has your account balance mentioned on it.
You can also check your SBI balance via ATM without any money withdrawal. To do this, first swipe your card into the machine and enter your 4-digit ATM PIN code to authenticate. After that, select the Balance Enquiry option and then you will be able to view your account balance. Finally, take your card and receipt.
6. Check SBI account balance via passbook
